Job Opportunity – Front Desk Administrator

Our client, Union Hearing Aid Centre is currently seeking a Front Desk Administrator to join their team! Duties include answering phones, greeting patients, booking appointments, accounting and general office administration.

Our ideal candidate is friendly, patient and has excellent multitasking and communication skills. A post-secondary education, knowledge of office and accounting software and strong customer service skills are a must-have.

Specific Duties Include:

Answering and Placing Phone Calls
Must be able to manage the phone lines. This includes directing calls, taking messages, scheduling and confirming appointments, and calling patients for reminders and follow-up appointments.

Maintaining Records and Files

Experience with patient-related database preferred. Must be able to manage an organized filing system and enter reports for patients electronically; this includes both outcome measures for appointments, test results and general patient information. Must be able to complete insurance claims and referrals when necessary.

Managing Correspondence
Must be able to manage correspondence to colleagues and managers on all platforms (email, voicemail, regular mail). Will follow up on to-dos and then file the emails and voice mails in their appropriate categories for later. Must manage incoming mail and distribute appropriately.

Must be able to take inventory of equipment and supplies when necessary. Familiarity with Microsoft applications especially Excel and Word.
