CPA PLI is seeking an experienced Law Clerk to assist their legal team with insurance claims management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling insurance claims, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. This is a six month contract position, perfect for a professional looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of insurance claims files, including intake, documentation, and follow-up
- Prepare and review legal documents related to claims and professional liability matters
- Conduct legal research as needed to support claims analysis
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including adjusters and legal counsel, on claims matters
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely filing of all required documentation
- Support the legal team with administrative tasks, as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a law clerk, with a strong focus on insurance claims
- Familiarity with professional liability claims is a strong asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in legal research and document preparation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple files simultaneously
- A diploma or certificate in Law Clerk studies or equivalent
